There are many ways to support our residents and make a real difference to their lives. One of the most valued is joining our volunteers who work alongside Bandrum’s lifestyle team.

Volunteering

The lifestyle team is employed by Bandrum Nursing Home and is responsible for residents’ care and safety on all outings and activities. Volunteers are not responsible for clinical care — they are there simply to add an extra dimension: genuine friendship and companionship that comes from outside the home itself.

Together, the lifestyle team and volunteers organise trips and experiences that help residents stay connected to the world beyond the home — shopping trips, theatre visits, football matches and much more.

For many residents, a volunteer can become one of the most important people in their lives. And for volunteers, it can be equally rewarding.
